A Maine-based steel-parts manufacturer was tasked with producing six-foot-diameter stainless steel domes with intricate hole patterns that would match to a sophisticated piping system. Accuracy was critical in order to align with the piping.

Front Street Shipyard leveraged the fix-axis 3D cutting capabilities of the waterjet machine to achieve accurate results. By importing the supplied 3D drawings into our machine’s operating software, we were able to efficiently and accurately cut the parts.

Front Street Shipyard produced 30 identical domes for the manufacturer, with each part was cut exactly the same. The precision capabilities of the waterjet machined ensured efficient installation for all the final products.
